Literary analysis of a poem

For this paper, choose any poem of your choice. It may be from the textbook or from another source. It must be a printed poem and not a poetry audio or video.
Your assignment is simply to do an literary analysis of the poem. Discuss not only what the poem means but its structure, form, expression, etc. Be mindful of your notes from class discussion and of the reading/study assignments in the text to help you with this task. There are also sample essays about poetry in the textbook.
The paper must include the following:
1) Title, author, and summary of the poem in your introduction
2) Strong, clear thesis
3) Organized structure
4) Intelligent literary discussion of the poem with examples and cited
6) 3-5 pages double spaced in MLA format with Works Cited page
IMPORTANT: If you choose a poem from outside the textbook, you must include a copy of it attached as an appendix to your essay!
